RC Car Racing Videos

. Robitronic . Vienna . 2009

 
This series of promotion videos contains live action footage mixed with 3D animation. Basically I animated certain parts of the car e.g. the gear or the suspension to show how it all works together. I also did a short logo animation where I used particles in Maya - a stream of blood vessels racing towards the logo. Moreover I am working with After Effects to do motion graphics or effects like dandelions which get blown away when a car drifts by.
   
 

 

 

 

Stage Visuals

The new show of the austrian comedians 'Comedyhirten' is a satire on media. During their performance they switch roles like you would switch tv channels. They impersonate different showmasters or other public figures from TV. As the stage consists of 5 plasma TVs I had to do renderings and short clips to indicate the show they are mocking. They are touring through Austria with this program at the moment.
   
 

 

 

 

Fairy Oceana

On this commercial I worked as a layout and environment artist. I did the modelling during the previsualisation process and worked with the storyboard software Redboard to make a layout for the final shots. It was also my responsibility to test the plugIn ‚Shave and a Haircut‘ for optimizing the rendertimes of the furry characters in Maya.
   
 

 

 

 

Redboard

. Hibbert Ralph Animation . London . 2008

During my internship at Hibbert Ralph Animation I was part of the redboard development team. Redboard is a new storyboarding technology, which enables storyboard artist to 'fly' around in the set and find a good point of view for the camera, position the characters and just draw over them. I modelled and textured two sets with different buildings and a car for a demo version of redboard.
   

 

 

 

 

LOD Aircrafts

. S&P Simulationstechnic . The Tyrol . 2007

For a real time simulation system I had to prepare mostly aircrafts and helicopters. I had to work from a blueprint to maintain the exact shape and size of the aircraft. Then I layed out the uvs and textured the models. After that I reduced the model again to 3 levels of detail for the simulation engine.
